I’m an Amazon seller looking to expand to Walmart. I have some products in a niche category, and I want to see how the market looks. Some competitors are already selling there, but I can’t find sales data anywhere.
How do you estimate Walmart sales volume? For example, I’d like to know seasonal trends — how did certain products perform during May–July last year, or during Q4?
Most Amazon-focused tools seem to have very little data on Walmart. Any suggestions?

That said, Walmart can be profitable for niche products with less competition. Focus on:
Getting the WFS badge (it boosts visibility)
Competitive pricing
Clean listings with good images
You won’t have perfect data. You’ll have to test and learn.
Review growth rate – how many new reviews per week or month
Rank in Search Insights – for your own products; track how it moves
WFS badge – products with WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) tend to have higher conversion
Price competitiveness – Walmart’s algorithm favors lower prices more than Amazon
If a product has steady review growth and holds a decent rank, it’s probably moving units.
Wallysmarter – shows estimated sales, but it’s paid and still not perfectly accurate
Walmart Master – a Chrome extension; free version gives limited daily views
H10 – not recommended; sales data is often way off
The best approach is to use these tools for trend direction, not absolute numbers.
If you track your own rank and sales over time, you can build a rough map of how rank correlates with sales volume in your category. Then, when you see a competitor’s rank (by searching their product), you can estimate their sales. It’s not exact, but it’s better than guessing.
If you’re coming from Amazon, you’ll need to adjust: Walmart is a different beast. You’re not going to get the same level of data.
