Two of my listings were sitting at 4.2 stars with around 200 ratings each. Today they dropped to 4.1 and 4.0. The number of ratings hasn’t changed at all. I checked for new bad reviews and there’s nothing. Could someone have changed old positive reviews to negative? That seems unlikely to swing the score this much with just one or two updates.
Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas what’s happening?

Same exact issue. My listing went from 4.3 to 4.2 then 4.1. No new bad reviews, total ratings stayed the same. Pretty sure Amazon is just recalculating review weights across the board.

Amazon announced a policy change**
Amazon just put out an update starting Feb 12, 2026, about how reviews are shared across variations. Going forward, only minor variations (like color) will share reviews. Some child ASINs might get their reviews separated, which can shift your overall star rating. Worth double-checking your variation themes.
