I’ve been selling on Walmart for a while and this has been bugging me.
My account manager told me Walmart doesn’t have a “new product period” — that’s not a thing officially. But I keep seeing new listings hit the front page within days of going live. If there’s no traffic boost, how does that happen?
I’ve also noticed something else — those same new products disappear from the front page after a few days. Sometimes they’re there for a week, then gone.
So is there actually a boost window? And if so, how long does it last? 7 days? 14 days?
Curious what others are seeing.

I think the algorithm gives you a quick test. If you don’t get sales in that first week, it moves on to the next new product.
The ones that stick longer are usually WFS with good pricing and a few reviews within the first week. If you don’t have reviews by day 7, good luck.
Walmart gives you initial exposure to test. If the data is good, the boost extends. If it’s bad, it pulls back fast. So the “period” depends on your listing quality and how fast you get sales.
I wouldn’t call it a “new product period” officially, but there’s definitely a window. In my experience, it’s 7-14 days max.
