Was talking to a logistics provider yesterday about a friend of mine who sells on Temu.
A few months ago, he was doing 1,000 orders a day consistently. Brought in multiple containers of inventory – mostly bulky, high-value products. Then Temu changed something in the algorithm or policy, and now he’s down to 200–300 orders a day. He’s sitting on a ton of inventory and feeling the pressure.
He also introduced another friend to Temu. That friend put in about $80k–90k and hasn’t seen much profit yet.
The logistics guy I was talking to has been in the industry for over a decade. His take: Amazon sellers are the most stable. Other platforms come and go. He said with the same $250k investment and same effort, Temu might return $120k, while Amazon could return $400k–500k over the same period.
I told him Amazon is competitive too. Our order volume hasn’t dropped, but prices and margins are definitely getting squeezed.
So I’m curious – what’s everyone’s take? Is Temu still worth building on, or is it just a short-term play?

Personally, I’ve grown to dislike the platform. Constant pressure, unpredictable changes, and you’re always one algorithm update away from losing your business. Not worth the headache.
Also, I’ve noticed Temu’s overall traffic is declining. You can pull the data yourself. And carriers? I’ve talked to multiple delivery services – some are refusing to pick up Temu packages because their requirements are so demanding and the margins are so thin.
