I have 1,000 SKUs. Each SKU comes in 4 different sizes. I’m trying to figure out the best way to list them:
4,000 separate listings — one listing per size. Would this violate eBay’s duplicate listing policy? The products are almost identical except for size.
1,000 variant listings — each listing with 4 size options. This would save on listing fees and be easier to manage.
Which approach would you recommend? I’m concerned about duplicate listing penalties if I go with option 1.
Also, I’m having trouble with eBay’s bulk upload template. I keep getting errors on the “item location” field. I’ve tried multiple formats but can’t figure out what eBay wants. How should I fill that field for a warehouse in Germany?

Country: use the international standard two-letter code (e.g., DE for Germany, US for United States, GB for United Kingdom).
PostalCode: enter the actual postal code of the warehouse you’re shipping from (e.g., 10115 for Berlin, 90210 for a US warehouse).
If you’re using eBay’s fulfillment services, check their specific address format requirements. Otherwise, just match it to your actual fulfillment location. That should clear the error.
Instead, create 1,000 listings with 4 size variations each. This saves you listing fees, keeps your inventory organized, and gives customers an easy way to choose their preferred size on one page.
