I’m really confused by a competitor in my home goods category and would love input from experienced sellers.
This is a high-ticket niche around $100 AOV.
A new listing just launched and:
-
Took #1 New Release within weeks
-
Hit 600+ sales in under a month
-
My established old listing only does 100–200 orders a month
-
Only a few dozen early reviews (looks like Vine / early social proof)
-
No obvious extra sellers or duplicate listings
-
Main keywords top 3 positions on page 1 almost immediately
-
Even went out of stock recently, so sales seem at least partially real
I’ve checked:
-
No visible public Facebook/Instagram deal posts
-
No obvious Google deal sites or discount promotion
-
Our own attempts at off-site deals with deep discounts didn’t move the needle much for high AOV
I can’t believe this is just normal optimized PPC.
It feels like there’s a hidden strategy at play.
My questions:
-
How do you realistically launch a $100 product to 600+ sales in 30 days?
-
What actually moves the needle for old listings to boost organic rank and sales?
-
How much consistent volume do I need to drive to see real organic improvement?
-
What risks should I watch for with deals, ads, and content?
-
Any legitimate ways to get LD / BD recommendations faster for older listings?
I have budget to invest, but I want sustainable, safe strategies.
Thanks for any real-world advice.

Don’t sleep on TikTok/Instagram content.
One viral short can send 20+ orders a day to a high-ticket product.
It doesn’t show up in deal tools — it’s just organic social search.
That could easily explain their sudden, untrackable growth.
To keep it super simple:
Simple truth:
New listings get preferential treatment.
Amazon pushes fresh, high-converting products hard.
Yours is aged, so you have to out-convert and out-consist the competition.
Focus only on:
Public off-site deals barely work for $100+ products.
People don’t buy expensive items from random Facebook groups.
Real volume comes from:
Your competitor almost certainly has content or an audience you’re not seeing.
If they went out of stock, those sales are real.
Most likely:
You won’t find their promotions because high-ticket sellers don’t use public deal groups.
