I’m a small, low-budget seller. Labubu clothes are huge right now, but I’m terrified of IP issues and getting TRO’d.
Here’s what I did:
-
Initially: showed the outfit on a blurred Labubu doll + used “for Labubu” in listing
-
After a few days: got nervous → changed images to ONLY the clothes (no doll at all)
-
Removed EVERY mention of “Labubu” in title, bullets, description
Now I’m seeing top competitors getting taken down one after another.
Their listings:
-
Still show the Labubu doll (even blurred)
-
Still use “Labubu” in title
Mine has none of that.
Should I restock? Am I still at risk of TRO or listing removal? What else could trigger this?

Last wave took Labubu listings from 2,000+ down to a few hundred.
If you keep selling, understand you’re choosing short-term profit over long-term account safety.
The safest move is to avoid high-profile IP entirely.
Some IP owners wait until you have inventory, sales, and a big account balance — then hit you with a TRO to force a settlement.
If you’re playing with IP-related products, assume you will get caught eventually.
Keep inventory light, use separate accounts, don’t keep money in high-risk stores.
You’ve lowered risk a lot, but it’s not zero.
Even without the doll or keywords:
If you’re a small seller: don’t stock heavy. Use a separate burner account. Cash out frequently.
