I’m running a self-operated TikTok Shop and using FBA for fulfillment.
Every time I try to list a product, I keep getting price error messages, even though I priced it at only $8.99 — already very low.
I set both Standard and Economy shipping to $0 in my shipping template, thinking that would mean free shipping.
What’s causing this?

Setting shipping to 0 is not how you create free shipping on TikTok Shop.
You can set up free shipping properly in:
Setting shipping to 0 tells the platform to automatically calculate shipping and add it to your price, which often pushes the total over the platform’s price limit and triggers errors.
Go back to your shipping template and choose seller-covered shipping, then enter actual shipping costs manually. For the US, around $2–$4 depending on weight. Use the platform’s shipping calculator to verify.
FBA doesn’t exempt you from setting cross-border shipping costs — the system still calculates it. Setting to 0 seems easy but often breaks pricing.
