I’m a total newb to FBA, and I’m spiraling a little. I launched a product (similar to t-shirts, but not apparel) with 3 variations – sent ~100 units to Amazon mid-March, and it’s been about a month… I’ve only sold 20ish units. All of them are ad-driven. No organic sales to speak of.
Let me break down the mess I’m in:
-
Competitors are selling basically the same thing for $7–15. I swear my design is way better, so I priced mine at $22–25… maybe that was a dumb move?
-
I have ONE 5-star review. That’s it.
-
On days I get 2–3 orders, my sub-category rank bounces between 800–1600. Not great, not terrible, but stuck.
-
Ad stats (no screenshot, but here’s the tea): ACOS is absurdly high, conversion rate is around 4%, CPC is $0.80–1.20. I’m burning money on ads and getting nothing back.
Is this product a lost cause? Should I cut my losses and move to something new? I’m 90% sure my ads suck, but maybe the product itself just isn’t worth it. Any advice would quite literally save my sanity – I’m so stuck.

Also, check the ASINs your auto campaign is targeting. If they’re all $7–15 products, your $22 item is showing up next to way cheaper options – of course no one’s buying. Add those cheap ASINs as negatives, or tweak your targeting to avoid them. That’ll help big time.
Don’t throw in the towel yet – you’re not seeing the real issue here. Let’s break it down:
Give this 2–3 weeks. If nothing improves, then move on. But don’t quit before you’ve actually tried to fix it – I’ve been there, and it’s a waste of a learning opportunity.
